Full Moon over Tokyo

This photo was captured of the rising moon over Tokyo. This was photographed with my Sony G master 100-400mm lens on the Sony A7riii. The photo was blown up to 100% and cropped. It’s nice to see all the detail in the landscape of the moon. You can really get a sense of it’s craters and how meteors have sculpted it’s landscape over billions of years.

Landscape Photography, Kawasaki Industrial area.

As a part of my ongoing Tokyo Industrial photo series I have been out shooting landscapes in the Keihin industrial areas. These areas have a really interesting light and feeling with the factories working 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It is quiet and empty at nighttime and an interesting world to roam.

As an art series these large format photographic landscapes or nightscapes represent the world that man has created. The future of year on year growth in consumption.

Travel Photography, Shibuya Scramble Square, Tokyo, Japan.

Whilst shooting a travel editorial for the Virgin inflight magazine we visited the new Shibuya Sky viewing deck on top of the Shibuya Scramble building. It is a great view for photographing cityscapes of Tokyo and seeing this massive city. It is the perfect place to see the sunset and to see the glow of Tokyo come to life.

Landscape Photography, Lightning over the Kimberley.

I had been out filming from 4am and was completely exhausted as I drove back to Kununurra in the evening. But when I saw this Electrical storm brewing in the distance I knew I had to stop and find a high vantage point to photograph it from. It was well worth the effort as this storm developed into real beauty. It was great to capture the raw power of nature in some beautiful photos.
